- 32 checksum errors is way too much. Either your line speed is too high for
- your Amiga or there is something wrong with your flow control settings or
- modem cable.

- No, this must be a coincidence :). The checksum errors are caused by your
- serial device, cable, modem, or provider, not from ppp.device.

- 1.38, 1.39 and 1.40 are all BETA versions. The next official, public release
- version will be ready in a day or two. The bug you describe occurs in
- 1.38beta and 1.39beta only and is fixed in 1.40beta.

-
- In this case the problem is most definitely with your Amiga, and it is not
- just the checksums that are incorrect, but you are losing characters on the
- line.
-
- To everyone having problems with checksum errors:
-
- - set the baud rate to a rather low value (try 38400).
-
- - add 7WIRE to your ppp configuration
-
- - switch hardware flow control (RTS/CTS) *on* in your modem, but
- software flow control (Xon/Xoff) *off*. For most Rockwell-based modems
- (like Supra) this is "AT&K3\G0". For USR Courier it is "AT&H1&I0&R2".
